Research Technicians (RTs) are an integral part of CeMM’s laboratories and core facilities, contributing essential expertise that drives biomedical research forward. One of CeMM's key mission is to unlock new insights into human diseases through pioneering biomedical research. Achieving this relies on a strong foundation—one that is built and maintained by our dedicated Research Technicians.Their behind-the-scenes expertise powers the discoveries that help shape the future of medicine.
CeMM’s Research Technicians are much more than technical support staff. They are key contributors to the daily operations and long-term success of every lab and facility. From experimental design to troubleshooting high-end analytical instruments, RTs ensure that research runs smoothly and efficiently. They have a wide range of responsibilities, including:
- Experimental and technical support.
- Administrative and accounting responsibilities.
- Development and optimization of methodologies.
- Training and mentoring of PhD students and Postdocs.
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of lab equipment.
- Chemical and reagent inventory management.
Their work is foundational to producing high-quality research results that are ultimately transformed into impactful publications and innovative patents.
RTs at CeMM are not only skilled problem-solvers and method developers—they are also trusted partners to Principal Investigators. They play a vital role in scientific discussions and decision-making, ensuring that research output is consistent, reliable, and innovative.
