Mission
The CeMM Alumnae and Alumni Network is a global community uniting individuals from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise, all connected by their shared experience at CeMM. Our mission is to uphold and share the CeMM spirit, preserving its legacy through an interactive and inclusive community. We foster vibrant exchanges, personal growth, career development, and collaborative opportunities among our members. We are dedicated to inspiring and nurturing our community by providing an empowering environment for all forms of interaction and skill development. Each member is encouraged to contribute their unique knowledge and experiences, actively shaping the network's evolution. Furthermore, we serve as a vital connector between current and former CeMM communities, reinforcing mutual support through shared expertise, constructive feedback, and collaborative projects.
Highlights of 2025
- Landsteiner Lecture Networking Event (May 13, 2025): A vibrant gathering during Tony Wyss-Coray’s lecture, “Young Blood for Old Brains and the Quest to Slow Aging,” fostering scientific exchange and networking among CeMM alumni and current members.
- CeMM Mentoring Program 2024/2025: Empowered 43 mentees through tailored mentoring sessions with alumni, complemented by workshops for mentors. The program continues into 2025/2026, investing in the personal and professional growth of both mentees and mentors.
- Website Enhancement: Launch of a dedicated Alumni section within the relaunched CeMM website, providing a central hub for updates, stories, and engagement.
- Alumni Portraits: Sharing inspiring career stories via newsletters and the website, highlighting the diverse paths and achievements of our alumni.
- International Collaboration: The Alumni Board engaged with alumni network managers from renowned institutions, exchanging best practices and innovative initiatives.
