Virtual Reality

The Virtual Reality (VR) Holodeck Project

The Virtual Reality (VR) Holodeck is a collaboration between CeMM PI Jörg Menche and his group and other medical groups, such as Kaan Boztug's, CeMM Adjunct PI and Director of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Rare and Undiagnosed Diseases.

A specifically developed device including VR glasses allows the user to dive deep into the massive molecular networks behind genetic diseases. The unique VR experience provides a first glimpse on how humans and machines will interact in the future to visualize and explore complex medical data to the benefit of research and patients.
