Martin Walde

Martin Walde (*1957, Innsbruck, Tyrol) studied at the Academy of Fine Art, Vienna. Among other things, he was awarded the Otto Mauer Prize in 1991 and the City of Vienna’s Prize for Fine Art (Preis der Stadt Wien für Bildende Kunst) in 2012. Martin Walde is an internationally acclaimed artist, participant in many important international exhibitions including the Venice Biennial in 1986 and 2001 and documenta X in 1997 . His contribution to the CeMM Brain Lounge is the textile artwork ANACONDA, 2012, which is part of the series Hallucigenia products, 2003, as well as a chair backrest artwork.
